Evolution is false #1: COVID Vaccine & Aaron Rodgers

Updated: Feb 20, 2022

One of the most polarizing topics in the country has been the COVID vaccine. Many who are vaccinated have been angry at the unvaccinated; and many who are unvaccinated are angry about being villainized or pushed to take a shot they don’t want. Both sides have their arguments. One famous person who has made news about the COVID vaccine is NFL QB, Aaron Rodgers.

Regardless of what you think about Aaron Rodgers, he made a great point about science.

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is one of the most popular (and talented) players in the National Football League. But in 2021, he was at the center of controversy regarding the COVID vaccine. In August, before the season began, he told the press that he was “immunized.”[1] Many interpreted that as vaccinated, but Rodgers believed he was immune via homeopathic “immunization protocol.”[2]

But later in the season, when Rodgers tested positive for COVID, it became known that he was not vaccinated and he was heavily criticized for misleading the public. On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers took “full responsibility” for misleading some people, but he stood by his views regarding the vaccine for his personal health.[3]

Regardless of whether you are critical of Rodgers or support his perspective, I think we should all take note of a profound comment he gave when he returned in December to “The Pat McAfee Show.” Rodgers continued to maintain his perspective regarding the COVID vaccine, and he also said, “If science can't be questioned, it's not science anymore. It's propaganda, and that's the truth.”[4](emphasis added)

Again, regardless of what you think about Rodgers, that quote is absolutely true!

Evolution

Sometimes the word “science” gets used as a weapon in an argument. Something like: “You might say that, but I believe in science…” In other words, the assertion is, “My position is rationale and your is not.”

This is a typical attack against someone who questions evolution. If you question evolution as a viable explanation for life on earth, you may be labeled as anti-science.

I believe this is similar to Rodgers' point above. In my opinion, if you can’t question evolution, then it is not science. It is propaganda.

Unfortunately many Christians have gotten tripped up on the topic of evolution. Frankly it was a topic that gave me pause many years ago. I spent considerable time studying it and have come to the following conclusion: The Theory of Evolution is NOT supported by science or the Bible. That's a strong statement; and by it, I am saying it is NOT the best explanation of the data.

Just to be clear, I am a big supporter of science, which is about discovering knowledge about the structure and behavior of the world.[5] In fact, there is a lot of scientific evidence that supports belief in God, some of which is on my website: CHRISTIANPOINTS.COM. The problem with evolution is it is forcing a naturalistic solution that does not fit – more on that in the next blog.

I am beginning a blog series that refutes evolution. Over the next several blogs, I will share with you my reasons for believing that evolution is NOT true. Although this is a massive topic, I will keep things short and simple. I will also discuss what evolutionists claim is evidence for their position, and then provide refutations against their arguments. Whether you agree or disagree with me, I hope you find the information beneficial and don't fall into the trap that you can’t question evolution.

Summary Point:

  • The Theory of Evolution is NOT supported by science or the Bible.
